Look at BC, Quebec and Ontario's Hydro providers. When you rely on water instead of fossil fuels, everyone wins. Reopen the tidal generation!

Help from the Canadian tax payers? How about those who USE the electricity are the ones who PAY for it. Just raise the rates. You're exempt from the carbon tax - unlike the rest of Canada. Pay your own bills, grow your economy and stop looking for a handout.

Nova Scotia Power is a mess. Our infrastructure fails every time the wind blows, and they just pour money into patching the system rather than investing in a solution that’s suited for the storms we get here. We pay some of the highest electricity costs and they still can’t manage to stay solvent? Nova Scotia Power needs to go. Rather than our taxes being used to bail out a failed company, we should buy back the utility.

Why don't they diversify how they generate power? Invest even more into wind power generation. Invest more into aquatic power generation. Invest more into solar power generation. Time for the public sector to purchase this private company to give at least stability to its customers.

Natural gas is by far the cheapest reliable power generation. Solar in Nova Scotia is pretty much wasted money, except for a few summer days. Wind would help but you can't run a grid just on wind.

ALSO oil companies reported record profits since the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, and that's just what they reported. They colluded to keep their profits high, which impacted all of us. But for some reason, that important fact never seems to get much airtime. 🤷‍♀

I can’t speak for Nova Scotia, but in Ontario, if a landlord has the experience of renting to a tenant with a good sob story, like a mom with young kids, the LTB would rather ruin the landlord than evict the tenants should the tenants stop paying. So what is a landlord to do knowing full well they’re 100% on the hook for all of the losses a tenant may generate? The answer is avoid high risk tenants like the plague.

Road diets . Road diets consists of bollards the narrowing of streets to slow down the speeding cars and more speedbumps , more bicycle lanes , pedestrian infrastructure and more bus only lanes . Some parking spaces should be removed on select corridors and turned into bike lanes. The bike lanes should be stealthily installed at night so as not to ruffle the feathers of the protesting belly-aching Nimbys .

I spoke with these clowns months ago. We walked into their offices in Burnside which they were very surprised at. We were brought into an office which..... Had super weird photos on the wall, a mini bar with alcohol and about 50k $ in cash sitting on the desk. The money sat there during the entire time.... Super sketchy from the get go They gave a price of 10k. My neighbors just today spoke with a rep from these guys and gave them a price of 15k and we're "time share" pushy. We met with 3 other companies where all were priced around 3500 to 4k.
